In addition to the winter coats, shoes, soccer uniforms, school uniforms, candy and school supplies that were provided by 10 local Afghan contractors to be donated to the Farah City Orphanage, Dec. 23, 2009, wood burning stoves and a three month supply of wood was already delivered to heat the facilities, Farah, Afghanistan. Members of the Farah Provincial Reconstruction Team and Italian Task Force South travelled to the orphanage with the donated items just two days prior to Christmas to hand out the supplies and spend time with the children.
