U.S. Army 1st Sgt. Chris McMillian (left), of Hoyleton, Ill., talks to his former Soldier, Sgt. 1st Class Michael Schlitz, of Moline, Ill., during a visit to Contingency Operation Post Carver Dec. 30. Schlitz deployed to Baghdad, Iraq from August 2006 to February 2007 when his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device resulting in him being a double arm amputee, being burnt over 85 percent of his body and losing some of his vision.
