A Marine with Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, holds security while his team moves toward the objective during a raid Jan. 13, 2015, on Guam. The raid was conducted as part of during Realistic Urban Training Exercise. RUTEX is used to provide the Marines and sailors of MRF with high-intensity, close-quarter battle training in an urban environment. The training provides a degree of realism that cannot be duplicated at the MRF’s facilities on Okinawa.
