U.S. Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps cadet Jean-Luc Sambira, a sophomore from Sanford, N.C., studying biology, holds the feet of Evan Murphy, a freshman studying chemical engineering from Gainesville, Va., during the situp portion of the Army Physical Fitness Test at Clemson University, Jan. 14, 2016. The APFT consists of pushups and situps (as many as you can do in two minutes, each) and completing a two-mile run in the shortest time possible. The Army standard for passing the APFT is 60 points in each of the three events for a total of 180 points.
