U.S. Army 1st Lt. Toby Kearney, Mortar Platoon leader, Mortar Platoon, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, hands a box of goodies to a member of the Iraqi Emergency Response Unit at a check point in the province of Kirkuk, Iraq, Dec. 24 2009. Mortar Platoon visited all 37 of the Emergency Response Unit's checkpoints and shared the holiday spirit by passing out candy to members of the ERU and any local citizens that happened to be nearby.
