North Carolina National Guard Soldiers honed their state active duty response with a simulated winter storm deployment from armories in Goldsboro, Kinston and Benson, N.C., Jan. 9, 2016. Soldiers drove Humvees, an ambulance and fuel truck and other tactical vehicles testing their ability to assist local first responders and patrol roads in case of a winter storm.
