Andrew Hansen, 51st Fighter Wing commander, watch a low-level pass from a U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress, Andersen Air Base, Guam, in response to recent provocative action by North Korea over Osan, South Korea, on Jan. 10, 2015. The B-52 was joined by a Republic of Korea Air Force F-15 Slam Eagle and a U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon. In a conventional conflict, the B-52 can perform strategic attack, close-air support, air interdiction, offensive counter-air and maritime operations.
