PENSACOLA Fla. (Jan. 6, 2016) Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. John Richardson inspects the remote minehunting system (RMS), part of the mine countermeasures (MCM) mission package aboard the littoral combat ship USS Independence (LCS 2). LCS 2 is conducting operational evaluation and testing of the mine countermeasures mission package while berthed at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola. Richardson and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Mike Stevens received an overview of NAS Pensacola's aviation training centers and toured USS Independence (LCS 2).
