Staff Sgt. Daniel Bari, shown here on Appalachian Trail, said he plans to climb Mount Everest in 2012. Bari, a St. Louis Park, Minn., native and a medic with the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division, has "always enjoyed doing stuff outdoors" and plans to climb several shorter mountains before Mount Everest.
