160105-N-AX638-461 ARABIAN GULF (Jan. 5, 2016) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Elaine Egbert, from South Charleston, Ohio, directs an MH-60S Sea Hawk as it transfers cargo onto the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS). Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
