Robert McDowell, executive officer of the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Topeka (SSN 754), presents honorary submariner certificates on the submarine’s mess deck to family and friends of the crew during a “tiger cruise,” Dec. 17. Topeka hosted the tiger cruise to give friends and families the opportunity to understand what their subariners do and why being forward-ready is so important to national security.
