Students of Nolan Richardson Middle School hold gifts prepared for Soldiers of the Warrior Transition Battalion during a gift exchange at Fort Bliss, Texas, Dec. 17. The gift exchange was part of a student-driven initiative at Nolan Richardson Middle School as part of the school's Junior Student to Student Program which helps support incoming students as well as the Partners In Education Program at Fort Bliss which allows soldiers to volunteer with local schools improving quality of life in the community. The Warrior Transition Battalion provides command and control, primary medical management, risk mitigation and comprehensive transition planning which facilitates the medical, social and professional rehabilitation of Soldiers back to the force or as productive veterans.
