MAYPORT, Fla. (Apr. 28, 2015) Sailors EM1 Emmanuel Ladzekpo and EM1 Vannon Alonso change out fluorescent lightbulbs to LEDs on board USS Gettysburg. Since upgrading to LEDs (50-60 percent upgraded), Gettysburg has seen a reduced electrical load of about 750 amps--100 percent upgrade could potentially reduce the ships energy consumption by 1,000 amps.( This photo was captured during OPNAV N45's Energy Warrior shoot in April.)
