Christopher Vinson and his wife, Michelle, participate in the Out of the Darkness Walk in Columbia, S.C., Oct. 25 in an effort to make sure their son, Christian "CJ" Thiele's memory is not forgotten. Thiele ended his life and invisible battles Sept. 21, 2013, after being medically discharged from the Army. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention hosts walks across the country to promote suicide awareness.
