The Special Reaction Team (SRT) from the 289th Military Police Company, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), was certified during an evaluation on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, at the Cody Child Development Center, Dec. 16, 2015. SRT is the military equivalent to civilian police department SWAT teams. These Soldiers are qualified to provide a coordinated response to critical incidents to include hostage/barricaded gunman situations, high-risk search and arrest warrant service, terrorist incidents, security operations, and response to civil disturbances.
