Airman 1st Class Anthony Cooper, a 354th Civil Engineer Squadron electrical systems journeyman, works in a downpour of snow to change lights on the airfield Dec. 4 at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. There are more than 120 lights on the 14,500 foot runway, which must be checked daily to ensure 24-hour operations availability for missions that could range across the U.S. Pacific Air Forces area of operations.
