EAS equipment forward staged in Lithuania

M2A3 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles are stored in a warehouse in Mumaiciai, Lithuania as U.S. Army Europe and Army Material Command established a forward storage site for equipment from the European Activity Set, Dec. 14, 2015. “We’ve worked with the Lithuanian government and military to establish a site to store equipment here when it’s not being used for training,” said Col. James Brady II, the Assistant Army Prepositioned Stock Director for Army Sustainment Command. “Army Sustainment Command is responsible for receiving, maintaining, accountability and issuing the equipment to Regionally Allocated Forces that come here to train,” added Brady, a New Orleans native. Having U.S. equipment stored forward within Allied and partner nations allows Regionally Allocated Forces easier access to that equipment when and where it is needed, saving time and resources to maximize the time available for training.
