A U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter assigned to Fort Wainwright, Alaska, takes off after dropping off U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to Detachment 1 of the 3rd Air Support Operations Squadron (ASOS) out of Fort Wainwright, Alaska and the 3rd ASOS out of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, during a field training exercise Dec. 9, 2015, in the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex. The Airmen, and Soldiers with the Bravo Company "Sugarbears," of the 1st Brigade, 52nd General Support Aviation Battalion, conducted the exercise to combine cold-weather skills, tactical, land navigation and Arctic movement training.
