Lang, commander and conductor of The United States Air Force Band, speaking at the conclusion of a surprise Holiday Flashback performance for commuters at Union Station in Washington, D.C. Dec. 3, 2015, said, “We’re dressed in these World War II uniforms and playing this great swing music to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and to honor our greatest generation.” Lang is a native of El Paso, Texas.
