Lt. Gen. George J. Trautman III (right), deputy commandant for aviation for the Marine Corps, walks with Col. Kevin S. Vest, commanding officer of Marine Aircraft Group 40, Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Afghanistan, following their flight on an MV-22 Osprey from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261 from Kandahar Airfield, Kandahar province, Nov. 24. Trautman spent time in Kandahar visiting the MAG-40 squadrons stationed there prior to his visit to Camp Leatherneck to complete his tour of the entire MEB-Afghanistan aviation combat element.
