Col. Kevin S. Vest, Marine Aircraft Group 40 commanding officer, Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Afghanistan, explains a few of the current and future construction projects for the MAG-40 area of the base to Lt. Gen. George J. Trautman III, Marine Corps deputy commandant for aviation,n for the Nov. 25, before beginning a tour of nearly every MAG-40 area, both here and at nearby Camp Bastion. Trautman spent nearly a week visiting a majority of the aviation combat element areas throughout southern Afghanistan.
