A Moldovan soldier, serving in Kosovo as part of NATO’s peace support mission in the region, looks over a fence while standing guard during a Nov. 5, 2015, combined training exercise at Camp Nothing Hill, Kosovo. The event brought Moldova’s soldiers together with North Carolina National Guard Soldiers serving in Multinational Battle Group-East for a series of exercises and operations. Moldovan and NCNG forces have trained together since 1996 as part of the State Partnership Program, and the Kosovo Force mission is the first time the partners have served together in an operational environment.
