At a color casing ceremony Feb. 27, 2015, at the Freedom Fighter Gym, “Bulldogs” command team, Lt. Col. Eric Beaty, commander of 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), and Command Sgt. Maj. Micheal Coffey, command sergeant major for the battalion, cased the battalion colors. Historically, the battalion colors lead a unit into battle and remain a symbol of continuity for Soldiers deploying forward. The casing symbolizes the start of the “Bulldogs” next rendezvous with destiny. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Samantha Parks, 1st Brigade Combat Team)
