    TANDUO, Malaysia (Nov. 11, 2015) U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Shawn Smith tries crab cooked over an open fire in a jungle survival course during Malaysia-United States Amphibious Exercise 2015. Smith is a mortar man with Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. During the course, Marines learned how to trap, clean, and cook wildlife from Malaysian soldiers. The purpose of the exercise was to strengthen military cooperation in the planning and execution of amphibious operations between Malaysian armed forces and U.S. Marines. The 15th MEU is currently deployed in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to promote regional stability and security in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
