151119-N-YL073-018 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Nov. 19, 2015) Aviation Electronics Technician 3rd Class Edward Alvarado, from San Antonio, attached to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28, the “Dragon Whales,” performs corrosion prevention maintenance on the door of an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
