New recruits of Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, rush through a doorway during receiving at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Nov. 9. Recruits must move with speed and intensity at all times through the course of training. Today, all males recruited from west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Lima Company is scheduled to graduate Feb. 5.
