Private First Class Corey R. Wood, Platoon 1024, Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, stands at parade rest prior to graduation at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Oct. 23. Wood is a Fort Dodge, Iowa, native and was recruited out of Recruiting Station Des Moines, Iowa. Today, all males recruited from west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually.
