151110-N-OI810-400 WATERS NEAR OKINAWA (Nov. 10, 2015) Members of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 5 Platoon 522 embarked aboard the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan perform a fast-rope exercise from an MH-60S Seahawk from the “Golden Falcons” of Helicopter Combat Squadron (HSC) 12 on the flight deck of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Akizuki-class destroyer JS Teruzuki (DD 116). Ronald Reagan and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, provide a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
