SAN DIEGO (Nov. 10, 2015) Hull Technician 2nd Class Jonathon Berridge fabricates a locking mechanism in the machine shop aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). America is undergoing a post-shakedown availability (PSA) in which the ship’s crew and assigned contractors make improvements to the ship’s design. America’s PSA will pave the way for future America-class amphibious assault ships. (Mass Communications Specialist Seaman Jacob Holloway/Released)
