Col. Douglas DeLaMater, 374th Airlift Wing commander, pilots a C-130 Hercules over Japan, Nov. 5, 2015. DeLaMater participated in a pallet drop as part of the Wing’s participation in Exercise Vigilant Ace 16, a U.S.-Republic of Korea combined exercise aimed at enhancing operational and tactical level coordination through combined and joint combat training. During the deployment phase of the exercise, the 374th AW conducted 42 missions, generated 87 sorties, totaling over 250 flying hours, and moved more than 400,000 pounds and more than 650 passengers.
