151104-N-ZZ999-001 PEARL HARBOR (Nov. 4, 2015) - Builder 2nd Class Joe Hophan, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, is leveling a base plate for installation of a pile wrap. The pile will be encased in cement grout, and surrounded with a fiberglass jacket that has embedded cathodic protection. UCT 2's Construction Dive Detachment Charlie (CDDC) is conducting pier repair on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam to help prolong U.S. Third Fleet assets. CDDC is on the fourth stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
