Ashton B. Carter, 25th U.S. secretary of defense hosted a town hall meeting with more than 300 service members, police officers and civilians in attendance at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Nov. 6. During the meeting Carter talked about how proud he was of all of the service members stationed in the Pacific. “Our people enjoy, in the large, peace and security, they do that and they know they’re able to do that because of you,” said Carter. “They know that you’re protecting them, keeping the peace, and making a better place for our children.” (U.S. Army photo by, Staff Sgt.
