U.S. Marine Corps Maj. General Craig C. Crenshaw, Installations and Logistics Command, Headquarters Marine Corps., and Col. David E. Jones, commanding officer of Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, present the congressional gold medal to Mr. Johnny Young who received the medal for Mr. Phonell W. Floyd during the Montford Point Marine's Day ceremony held aboard Camp Johnson, N.C., Aug. 20, 2015. The annual ceremony was held aboard Camp Johnson to celebrate the legacy of the original Montford Point Marines and the impact they had on the Marine Corps both past and present.
