Cadet Kage Carmona, 16, who attends the California National Guard's Grizzly Youth ChalleNGe Academy, completed 832 situps to lead the California Cadet Corps athletic competition before lunch Oct. 24. Upon hearing someone had bested his total, Carmona returned to the mat less than two hours later to perform 1,309 more sit-ups and take the title! Carmona credits the Grizzly staff at Camp San Luis Obispo for getting him in shape.
