U.S. Sgt. John Myers, Explosive Ordinance Disposal team leader, assigned to Forward Operating Base Ghazni, opens a box of C4 explosives, Nov. 17. EOD executed a controlled detonation of more than 400 pounds of munitions. The munitions came from several sources, including local citizens in the area who participated in the "Small Rewards Program," which allows Afghans to turn in weapons and munitions for a cash reward with no adverse consequences.
