Jenny Mendez Suanca from San Juan, Costa Rica, crosses the Francis Scott Key Bridge during the 40th Marine Corps Marathon near the 4-mile mark from Arlington, Va. into Georgetown in Washington, D.C., Oct. 25, 2015. Suanca went on to take the first place female win with a finish time of 2:45:56. Also known as "The People's Marathon," the 26.2 mile race drew roughly 30,000 participants to promote physical fitness, generate goodwill in the community, and showcase the organizational skills of the Marine Corps.
