Soldiers of Task Force 2-7, 1st Cavalry Division, recently returned from operations in Fallujah, pay final respects to Atlanta Ga native Sgt. Jonathan Shields and Lubbock, TX native Spc. Jose Valez during a memorial service in their honor on Camp Taji Nov. 27. Shields and Valez were both killed during the recent Battle of Fallujah meant to restore government control to the city that had become an insurgent stronghold.
