151022-N-GR718-147 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 22, 2015) Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Glenboy Guilas and Seaman Recruit Nicholas Nelms prepare to attach the pilots ladder to the side of the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18). New Orleans is part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), composed of USS New Orleans, amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49), and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is conducting a Composite Training Unit Exercise to test their ability to effectively respond to scenario driven events and perform as integrated units in preparation for deployment.
