Lance Cpl. Chris Ware, a machine gunner with 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, practices calling in a 9-line on a handheld very-high frequency radio during lane training at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Oct. 20, 2015. Basic radio communications was one of four stations that the Marines visited while conducting the training. The Marines were also given instruction on patrolling, handling a grenade, and emplacing a claymore.
