The aerostat crewmembers – all from A Company, 2nd Battalion, 198th Combined Arms, out of Hernando, Miss., and attached to the Base Defense Operations Center – provide a key element of base defense, maintaining the balloon and surveillance 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
