151017-N-ZF498-108 INDIAN OCEAN (Oct. 17, 2015) – An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the Red Rippers of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11 lands on the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) during Exercise Malabar 2015. Malabar is a continuing series of complex, high-end war fighting exercises conducted to advance multi-national maritime relationships and mutual security. The aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations as part of a worldwide deployment en route to its new home port in San Diego to complete a three-carrier homeport shift.
