151017-N-GG458-022 THE TAGUS RIVER (Oct. 17, 2015) Sailors and Marines from the amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24) man the rails as the ship pulls into port in Lisbon, Portugal to participate in Trident Juncture 2015. Trident Juncture is a NATO-led exercise designed to certify NATO response forces and develop interoperability among participating NATO and partner nations. Arlington is underway on her maiden voyage as part of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (KSGARG) deployment in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet areas of responsibility.
