ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 7, 2015) The Cyclone-class patrol ship USS Thunderbolt (PC 12) transits through the Arabian Gulf as the crew participates in Exercise Goalkeeper 2015. Exercise Goalkeeper is a visit, board, search, and seizure (VBSS) oriented training comprised of a combined maritime force ready to support a regional response to environmental and humanitarian crises in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. 5th Fleet compliments the counterterrorism activities of regional navies and coast guards through exercises, training, and coordinated operations.
