    ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 3, 2015) U.S. Navy Quartermaster Seaman Cruz Garza, assigned to the Cyclone-class patrol ship USS Thunderbolt (PC 12), uses an alidade to help navigate the ship through the Arabian Gulf during Exercise Goalkeeper. Exercise Goalkeeper is a visit, board, search, and seizure (VBSS)-oriented training comprised of a combined maritime force ready to support a regional response to environmental and humanitarian crises in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 5th Fleet compliments the counterterrorism activities of regional navies and coast guards through exercises, training, and coordinated operations.
