PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 8, 2015) – Sailors assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) participate in a man overboard drill. Germantown is in the region to participate in Amphibious Landing Exercise 2016 (PHBLEX 16). PHIBLEX 16 is an annual, bilateral training exercise conducted by U.S. Marine and Navy forces with the Amphibious Forces of the Philippines in order to strengthen interoperability and working relationships across the range of military operations- from disaster relief, to complex expeditionary operations.
