151009-N-SU012-035 SAN DIEGO (Oct. 9, 2015) – Seaman Mandy Corsey, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), participates in Between the Lifelines (BTL) simulation training. BTL is an anti-terrorism force protection course designed to provide basic training to the ship’s duty security reaction force team members. America is currently undergoing a Post-Shakedown Availability (PSA) in which the ship’s crew and assigned contractors make improvements to the ship’s design. America’s PSA will pave the way for future America-class amphibious assault ships. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class William Pinckney/Released)
