U.S. Army Sgt. Cynthia Dominguez, from the 1178th Forward Support Company, South Carolina Army National Guard, helps retired guardsman Bernard Sherman with dinner for guardsmen staying at the Georgetown, S.C., armory during the flood response and recovery; the meal was generously donated by a local business, Oct. 9, 2015. The South Carolina National Guard has been activated to support state and county emergency management agencies and local first responders as historic flooding impacts counties statewide.
