ROK and U.S. Marines fire at targets from 500 meters on the sniper range at Baengnyeongdo, Republic of Korea, Sept. 11, 2015. Marines from both countries exchanged training on weapon systems, methods of concealment, and other capabilities throughout the training. The exercise was part of Korean Marine Exchange Program 15-13, a bilateral training exercise that enhances the ROK and U.S. alliance, promotes stability on the Korean Peninsula, and strengthens ROK and U.S. military capabilities. The scout snipers are attached to Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
