A U.S. Marine Corps UH-1Y Huey hovers over a landing zone before inserting Marines with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division during a heavy Huey raid at K-9 Village, Yuma Proving Grounds, Ariz., Oct. 7, 2015. The exercise is part of Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) 1-16, a seven-week training event hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) cadre. MAWTS-1 provides standardized tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine Aviation Training and Readiness and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
