U.S. Navy Sailors pose for a photo with Vice Admiral Mathew Nathan, the U.S. Navy Surgeon General, following a peer-to-peer medical exchange in San Francisco, Oct. 7, 2015. Nathan attended the exchange to discuss advances in modern medicine with military medical personnel and their civilian counterparts. SFFW 15’ is a weeklong event that blends a unique training and education program, bringing together key civilian emergency responders and Naval crisis-response forces to exchange best practices on humanitarian assistance disaster relief with particular emphasis on defense support to civil authorities.
